A relief volunteer group says it has distributed 20 hand-packed food parcels to families with children in the Gaza camp, containing staples such as rice, oil, beans, sugar, milk and tea. The organisers say deliveries went ahead despite closed crossings, sharply rising prices and other obstacles, crediting donors for making the aid possible.

Why now: Ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza keeps grassroots aid efforts drawing attention and donations.
