The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office, working with the Prevention Coalition for Success, Murfreesboro Medical Clinic, Volunteer Behavioral Health, and a Tennessee state department, collected and safely disposed of 306.8 pounds of leftover medication on Friday, October 23. The take-back effort aims to keep unused prescription drugs out of homes where they could be misused, and out of water systems and landfills.
