Fact check punctuates Kennedy claim on Arab science with Nobel reality check

Original: FACT FOCUS: Kennedy's 'Arabs don't produce science' claim meets a Nobel Prize reality check

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claimed that Arabs do not produce science, and fact-checkers have responded by pointing to the record of Nobel Prize-winning scientists from the Arab world, including Egypt's Ahmed Zewail. The claim, made in the context of US immigration and visa debates, is being widely challenged as contradicted by documented scientific achievement across the Middle East and North Africa.

Why now: Kennedy's remark sparked backlash and fact-checking amid ongoing debates over immigration and science policy.
