FDA warns of Salmonella in Darwin's cat food lots

Original: FDA warns two Darwin’s cat food lots contain Salmonella

The FDA has issued a warning that two lots of Darwin's Natural Pet Products cat food contain Salmonella. Contaminated pet food can sicken both animals and the people handling it, so regulators are urging owners to check whether they have the affected lots and discard or return them. No illnesses have been confirmed in the notice.

Why now: Pet owners are being alerted to a potential Salmonella risk in cat food they may have at home.
