Ohio's largest newspaper has broken its own editorial rules to endorse Vivek Ramaswamy's Democratic rival, arguing that a recent attack ad from Ramaswamy is so vile it is disqualifying. The endorsement, reported by the Daily Beast from Cleveland, is being discussed amid wider debate over his campaign tactics and the Trump-aligned GOP.
Why now: The paper's unusual break with its own endorsement rules makes the story striking in an ongoing political race.
