Discord Messages to Become Searchable on Google
Original: Discord messages to appear on Google
Discord is reportedly changing its settings so that public messages from servers can be indexed and shown in Google search results, ending the platform's long-standing status as largely invisible to search engines. Users are discussing the privacy implications, with many concerned that conversations previously thought to be semi-private could now surface publicly in searches.
Why now: Discord's shift from a closed chat platform to search-indexed content raises fresh privacy concerns for millions of users.
