Prince Edward Island's mobile mental health program will continue for another year after receiving funding from the federal government. The service, which sends mental health support directly to people in communities across the island, had been expected to end. The extension gives the program time to keep operating while longer-term arrangements are considered.

Why now: Residents and mental health advocates are reacting to news that a valued service facing shutdown has been saved, at least temporarily.
