Apple is expected to announce on Wednesday new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models featuring touch-enabled OLED displays with thinner bezels, a Dynamic Island replacing the notch, and M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, along with a lighter design. The move would mark a notable shift for Apple, which has long resisted adding touchscreens to its Mac laptops.

Why now: The rumored addition of a touchscreen marks a major first for the MacBook line, ahead of an imminent announcement event.
