Flow is an open-source Android app for YouTube and YouTube Music that requires no Google account, blocks advertising, and runs its recommendation algorithm entirely on the user's phone rather than in the cloud. The app is being shared in Italian-language privacy and digital-alternatives communities, with supporters highlighting it as a way to watch YouTube while limiting tracking and data collection.
Why now: Privacy-conscious users are circulating it as an alternative to the official YouTube app amid ongoing concerns about Google tracking.
