FSU theatre majors learn cheer stunts for 'Bring It On'
Original: 'Bring It On' at FSU: Theatre majors learn cheer stunts from scratch
Florida State University theatre students are training in cheerleading stunts from scratch for a campus production of the musical 'Bring It On'. The show, based on the 2000 cheerleading film with music by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Tom Kitt, requires tumbling and pyramid work that many acting majors have never attempted before.
Why now: The unusual sight of theatre students learning competitive cheerleading techniques for a stage show is drawing local attention.
