The Internet Archive has confirmed it is actively preserving the US Environmental Protection Agency's website archive, a task it has carried out for more than a decade. The announcement includes links to the preservation history and to a archived copy of archive.epa.gov. Observers welcome the reassurance amid ongoing concerns that federal environmental data could be altered or removed from public access.
Why now: Concerns about the fate of US federal environmental data have prompted confirmation that the EPA archive is being preserved.
