CSU faculty rallies continue as strike authorization vote begins

Faculty across the California State University system are holding rallies as a strike authorization vote gets underway. The vote would give the faculty union a mandate to call a strike if contract negotiations with CSU management fail over pay and working conditions. Members are framing the rallies as a show of unity ahead of a possible labor action at the nation's largest public university system.

Why now: A strike authorization vote beginning at the nation's largest public university system raises the prospect of campus labor action.
