Tommy Robinson guilty of harassing Daily Mail journalists
Tommy Robinson, the 43-year-old far-right activist whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has been convicted of harassing two Daily Mail journalists after a week-long trial at Southwark Crown Court in London. The verdict closes a case that drew attention to the treatment of press by political campaigners, and reaction online is split between critics welcoming the conviction and supporters disputing it.
Why now: The conviction of a prominent, polarising far-right figure naturally draws strong reactions from both his supporters and critics.
