Original: Ukraine Intercepts 60% of Russian Geran-4 Drones with F-16s Leading the Way
Ukraine is reporting that its air defenses are intercepting roughly 60% of Russian Geran-4 drones, with F-16 fighter jets playing a leading role in shooting them down. The claim, if accurate, would mark a significant improvement in Kyiv's ability to counter Russia's ongoing drone attacks, which have targeted cities and energy infrastructure. Why now: It highlights the growing impact of Western-supplied F-16s on Ukraine's drone defense success rates.
