Critics Blast Wyoming And Montana Officials Over Anti-Wolf, Grizzly Bias
Original: Critics Blast Wyoming, Montana Wildlife Officials Over Anti-Wolf And Grizzly Bias
Conservation critics are accusing wildlife officials in Wyoming and Montana of showing bias against wolves and grizzly bears, arguing that state management policies and rhetoric favor killing the predators over coexistence. The criticism, reported by Cowboy State Daily, comes as both states pursue expanded predator control and reduced federal protections, drawing backlash from wildlife advocates who say the agencies are not fulfilling their mandate to conserve these species.
Why now: Ongoing debates over predator management and endangered species protections in the northern Rockies have made state wildlife policies a flashpoint.
