A new study published in the ACS journal Environmental Science & Technology reports that N-95 masks provide excellent protection against transmission of both SARS-CoV-2 and influenza A (H1N1) on airplanes. The findings reinforce masks as an effective tool for reducing airborne infection risk during air travel, and health-conscious travellers and pandemic watchers are sharing the results widely.
