A bipartisan group of senators seeking answers about a disruption to Ukraine's battlefield communications has been turned away. The Pentagon and Defense Department inspector general declined the lawmakers' request to investigate the throttling of Elon Musk's Starlink service, which Ukrainian forces rely on for battlefield connectivity. The refusal is drawing criticism from lawmakers who want clarity on how decisions affecting a war zone's communications were made.
Why now: The inspector general's refusal to investigate has reignited controversy over Musk's Starlink and its role in Ukraine's war effort.
