Tokyo Metro Tozai Line suspended, full service restored by 8am
Original: 東西線
Tokyo Metro's Tozai Line was temporarily suspended on Tuesday morning, with the operator announcing that full service across the line was expected to resume around 8am. Commuters faced disruptions during the morning rush hour, one of the line's busiest periods, as it links eastern suburban areas with central Tokyo. No cause for the suspension was immediately given.
Why now: Morning rush-hour commuters in Tokyo were checking service status after the suspension disrupted their journeys.
