Chunichi Dragons release four more pitchers

Original: 中日 戦力外

The Chunichi Dragons have notified four pitchers — Matsukihei, Makino, Fukuda and Arima — that they will be released, bringing the club's total to 15 players let go this offseason (seven pitchers and eight position players). The move drew attention because one notification reportedly came the day after Japan's championship decider, surprising fans who voiced disbelief over a 28-year-old being cut. In the draft, Chunichi selected eight players, including Miyahara.

Why now: Fans are reacting to the unusually large number of releases and the shock timing of a cut right after Japan Series day
