Kaczynski Floats Polish EU Exit Talks to Force Change in Europe
Jaroslaw Kaczynski, leader of Poland's Law and Justice party, has suggested Poland could consider talks about leaving the European Union as a way to push for change in how the bloc operates. The remarks, reported by Bloomberg, signal an escalation in Warsaw's rhetoric against Brussels and raise questions about the future of Poland's EU membership debate.
Why now: Talk of EU exit, even as a negotiating tactic, is highly controversial and fuels debate over rising euroscepticism in Poland and Europe.
