Campus Celebrates Life and Legacy of Dolores Huerta

Original: Campus Celebrates Life, Legacy of Dolores Huerta

California State University San Marcos held a campus celebration honoring the life and legacy of Dolores Huerta, the longtime labor leader and civil rights activist who co-founded the United Farm Workers. The event paid tribute to her decades of work organizing farmworkers and advocating for workers' rights, women's rights and social justice.

Why now: Huerta remains an influential figure in civil rights and labor history, and campus events honoring her resonate amid ongoing debates about workers' and immigrant rights.
