Original: Trump to close East Potomac
The Trump administration is reportedly set to close East Potomac, the public golf course in Washington, DC, run by the National Park Service. The move is drawing criticism from local golfers and residents who use the affordable public course, with questions raised about land use along the Potomac and the loss of a recreation space in the capital.
Why now: The closure of a beloved public golf course by the federal government affects Washington residents and fuels debate over Trump administration land decisions.
