T-Mobile says it will launch 6G first, rejects SpaceX MVNO
Original: T-Mobile: We'll be first with 6G, and no to SpaceX MVNO
T-Mobile has said it intends to be the first carrier to deploy 6G, while declining a mobile virtual network operator arrangement with SpaceX. The announcement, reported by Light Reading, positions the US carrier as aiming to lead the next generation of wireless technology. It also signals T-Mobile will not extend its partnership with SpaceX's Starlink into an MVNO deal, keeping its satellite strategy on its own terms.
Why now: T-Mobile's dual claims about leading 6G and rejecting a SpaceX MVNO deal touch two of the telecom industry's biggest current debates.
