Seifert hopes Santner can win the toss against India in Auckland

Original: ‘Would be nice if Santner wins a toss’: Tim Seifert hopes NZ captain can tilt the odds in their favour vs India in Auckland

New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert says it 'would be nice' if captain Mitchell Santner wins the toss ahead of the side's match against India in Auckland, hoping a call of heads or tails could tilt the odds in the Black Caps' favour. The remark highlights how much weight teams place on toss advantage in conditions where batting or bowling first can shape the result.

Why now: New Zealand and India are about to meet in Auckland and the toss is seen as potentially decisive.
