New scheduler unlocks 27% more usable Grace Blackwell GPUs
Original: Grace Blackwell needs a new scheduler: 27% more usable GPUs from the same racks
Nvidia's Grace Blackwell racks could deliver roughly 27% more usable GPUs from the same hardware if paired with a better scheduler, according to a new write-up from the SkyPilot team. The piece argues that default scheduling leaves GPU capacity stranded in these dense new systems, and that smarter allocation of fragmented resources lets operators serve more AI workloads without buying additional racks.
Why now: Organisations deploying costly Grace Blackwell systems are looking for ways to extract more capacity from limited GPU supply.
