Original: Contributor: Lucas Museum's 'habitat' garden woefully misses the mark on native plants
A Los Angeles Times contributor argues that the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art's so-called habitat garden in Los Angeles falls short as a native plant landscape. The piece contends the planting fails ecologically, missing the mark on what a genuine habitat garden should provide for local wildlife and the region's native flora.
Why now: The museum's landscaping is drawing scrutiny amid broader debates over authentic native planting in public spaces.
