Original: ‘Zombie apocalypse movie’: City leaders warn Bayou Phoenix time is running out on Six Flags redevelopment

New Orleans-area officials are pressing the Bayou Phoenix development team to move faster on redeveloping the long-abandoned Six Flags site in eastern New Orleans, with one city leader comparing the derelict property to a set from a zombie apocalypse movie. The warning came as leaders said the project's timeline is slipping and that patience with delays is running out.

Why now: City leaders publicly criticized stalled progress on a long-awaited redevelopment of the abandoned Six Flags site.
