National Guard downs Russian Molniya-13 mothership drone over Donetsk

Original: National Guard troops strike Russian Molniya-13 mothership drone over Donetsk region

Ukraine's National Guard troops shot down a Russian Molniya-13 mothership drone operating over the Donetsk region, according to Ukrinform. The Molniya-13 is a wooden Russian long-range drone that can carry smaller attack drones and munitions. The interception highlights the growing use of cheap, expendable Russian drone systems along the eastern front, where Ukraine continues to counter daily aerial attacks.

Why now: Ongoing Russian drone attacks on Ukraine keep such interceptions in the news.
