Original: BREAKING: Ukraine has just struck Russia's Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery, and set it ablaze this morning with black smoke
Ukraine struck Russia's Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery, reportedly setting it ablaze with heavy black smoke visible for kilometres. It is described as the first Ukrainian attack on Russian oil infrastructure in nearly two weeks, following a strike on the St. Petersburg oil port on October 18. The attack continues Kyiv's campaign against Russia's refining capacity.
Why now: Ukraine has resumed its strikes on Russian energy infrastructure after a pause of almost two weeks, hitting a major refinery.
