Archive of Our Own outage stretches into weeks
Original: AO3 outage extends to weeks
Archive of Our Own, the major fanfiction repository, has been down for an extended period that is now measured in weeks rather than hours, leaving readers and writers unable to access their works. Users are voicing frustration across social media and speculating about the cause, while the volunteer-run Organisation for Transformative Works works to restore service.
Why now: A long disruption to one of the largest fanfiction platforms is disrupting a large, highly active community
