The UN human rights office has warned that the displacement crisis in Gaza is worsening, saying Israeli forces are pushing Palestinians into ever-smaller areas of the strip while destroying civilian infrastructure and attacking sites where displaced people have sheltered. The office described the situation as a deepening 'nightmare' for Gaza's population, adding to international concern over the humanitarian toll of the military campaign.
Why now: Ongoing Israeli military operations and deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza keep UN warnings about displacement in the news.
