Australian mushroom poison killer ordered never to be released
Original: Woman convicted of mushroom poison murders in Australia ordered to never be released from prison
An Australian woman convicted of murdering three people with a poisonous mushroom lunch has been sentenced in a way that bars her from ever being released from prison. The ruling follows her high-profile trial over the deaths served at a meal in Victoria, a case that drew worldwide attention for its unusual method and its chilling domestic setting.
Why now: The sentencing is the latest development in a globally followed murder trial with an extraordinary and disturbing method.
