The US Secret Service says it has deployed air defense systems at Mar-a-Lago, President Trump's Florida residence, citing a heightened threat environment. The measures indicate authorities are taking elevated security concerns around the property seriously, though the specific nature of the threats has not been detailed publicly.
Why now: Security measures around a sitting president's residence naturally draw attention, especially with the unusual step of deploying air defenses on US soil.
