Ukrainian arms maker Fire Point says it can operate without SpaceX
Original: Ukrainian arms maker Fire Point says its systems can complete missions without SpaceX
Ukrainian defense manufacturer Fire Point says its weapons systems can complete missions without relying on SpaceX technology. The statement, reported by Reuters, comes amid ongoing discussion about the role of Elon Musk's company and its Starlink satellite network in Ukraine's war effort, and signals Kyiv's arms industry is working to reduce dependence on foreign providers.
Why now: Ongoing debate over Ukraine's reliance on SpaceX's Starlink for battlefield connectivity makes claims of independence from the company newsworthy.
