Horror is moving decisively to television, with series built on major franchises like Friday the 13th's prequel 'Crystal Lake' and an adaptation of Stephen King's 'Carrie' leading the way. Why now: New franchise-based horror series are drawing attention to the broader trend of horror expanding on television.
