Mexico asks whether November 2 is a public holiday
Original: el lunes 2 de noviembre es festivo
In Mexico, attention is on Monday, November 2, the Day of the Dead, with many people asking whether it is an official holiday and whether they must work. Radio station Imagen Radio addressed the question directly, reflecting widespread confusion. While the date is widely celebrated, it is not among the mandatory rest days established in Mexican federal labour law, so most workers are expected to report to work.
Why now: The Day of the Dead falls on a Monday, prompting workers to check whether they get the day off.
