Enthusiast argues the Nintendo Wii was secretly a Power Mac

Original: My favourite PowerMac is a Nintendo Wii

A blog post argues that the Nintendo Wii can be considered a favourite Power Mac, a nod to the console's PowerPC-based 'Broadway' processor, a descendant of the chips Apple used in Power Macintosh computers before switching to Intel. The comparison has drawn attention among retro-computing readers, who are discussing the shared PowerPC lineage between old Macs and the Wii.

Why now: The Wii's PowerPC heritage makes it an unexpected but technically apt link to classic Power Mac hardware, a fun point for retro-computing enthusiasts.
