Motorsport journalist Jon Noble reports that RM Sotheby's will auction a super rare Ayrton Senna Williams in New York next month. The car is the 1994 FW16B, chassis number 01, one of only two FW16s from that season driven by three Formula 1 world champions: Senna, Damon Hill and Nigel Mansell. It is expected to draw major interest from collectors given its direct link to Senna's final season.

Why now: The auction of a race car driven by Ayrton Senna in his final, tragic 1994 season is a landmark event for Formula 1 collectors and fans.
