Another Russian refinery burns despite Trump's warning to Kyiv
Original: Another Russian refinery is aflame despite Trump’s warning to Kyiv
A Russian refinery has been set on fire in what appears to be another Ukrainian drone strike, coming despite Donald Trump's warning to Kyiv to halt attacks on Russian energy infrastructure. The incident adds to a string of recent hits on Russian oil refining capacity, which have disrupted fuel output and raised questions about whether Ukraine is ignoring US pressure to scale back its long-range strike campaign.
Why now: Ukraine struck another Russian oil refinery despite Trump publicly urging Kyiv to stop such attacks, creating tension in US-Ukraine relations.
