Donald Tusk under fire as critics call Poland a dictatorship

Original: donald tusk

Donald Tusk, Poland's Prime Minister, is trending across the UK, US, Spain and Brazil. The renewed attention comes amid a heated Polish political dispute, with commentator Jaroslaw Karnowski declaring that 'the rule of law has finally died in Poland' and that the country now lives 'in a dictatorship' — a sharp attack on Tusk's government that has fuelled debate among supporters and opponents alike.

Why now: A prominent Polish commentator's claim that Poland has become a dictatorship under Tusk's government is driving discussion.
