Kyrie Irving has changed his stance on the NBA's in-season tournament, the NBA Cup. The Dallas Mavericks star, who once doubted the value of the competition, is now described as a convert to the format, a shift notable given how prominent he has been in debates over the event's place in the league calendar.
Why now: His public reversal on the tournament is striking because he was previously among its doubters, fueling discussion of the NBA Cup's credibility.
