Satirical call urges Gen Z to copy farmers' protest tactics
Original: Tipp für # GenZregelt Demoteilnahme: Mietet euch # Traktoren , blockiert Straßen, kippt Mist vors Ministerium und # zünd
A satirical German-language post suggests Gen Z protesters should rent tractors, block roads, dump manure outside ministries and burn tyres, claiming that if they did, the Union parties and media would call it 'legitimate concerns'. The joke targets the perceived double standard in how farmer protests and climate protests are treated in Germany.
Why now: It plays on ongoing debate in Germany over the contrast between sympathetic coverage of farmer protests and harsh treatment of young climate activists
