Craftsman prepares weekend of hazel hurdle weaving

A gardener is preparing to spend the weekend weaving hazel hurdles, traditional woven fence panels, using a stockpile of freshly cut hazel and stakes saved from last winter. They have also secured a hoped-for donation of willow to use as additional building material, and the willow donor is interested in joining the gardening project.
Why now: The traditional craft of hurdle making and community gardening collaboration resonate with people interested in hands-on outdoor skills.
