Footage circulating online shows Metropolitan Police officers arresting mannequins outside the US Embassy in London, apparently on suspicion of terrorism-related offences. The clip, roughly a minute long, has drawn amused and critical reactions, with people questioning how the dummy figures could be treated as suspects and what the scene says about policing near the embassy.
Why now: The absurd image of police arresting mannequins as terrorist suspects is being shared for its satire of counter-terrorism policing.
