Esteban Ocon replaced by Ryo Hirakawa at Mexico City GP

Original: ocon

Haas have replaced Esteban Ocon with reserve driver Ryo Hirakawa for the remainder of the Mexico City Grand Prix weekend, giving no reason for the change. The French driver's absence was confirmed by Sky Sports, and the story is drawing attention across Google trends in Mexico, Brazil, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK.

Why now: A surprise mid-weekend driver swap at a Formula 1 race, with no explanation given, is sparking speculation about Ocon's status.
