Jon Bernthal's Old Sitcom Called His Most Anti-Punisher Role

Original: Jon Bernthal’s 19-Episode Sitcom Is TV's Most Perfect Anti-Punisher Show

Jon Bernthal, best known for playing the brutal Marvel vigilante the Punisher, reportedly appeared across 19 episodes of a sitcom before his action-star fame. An article from Comic Book Resources argues that the comedic role stands as the perfect counterpoint to his violent Punisher persona, showing a softer, funnier side of the actor that fans may find surprising.

Why now: Unclear — likely renewed interest in Bernthal's career as he returns to playing the Punisher in the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again.
