Developer builds a language model that fits in a boot sector

Original: Show HN: A language model that lives in a boot sector

A developer has released bootgpt, an experimental language model small enough to run inside a computer's boot sector, the tiny piece of code a machine loads before the operating system starts. The project, shared on GitHub, is drawing attention from programmers impressed by squeezing a language model into such a limited space, while others debate how useful such a minimal model can actually be.

Why now: The extreme technical feat of running a language model in a 512-byte boot sector is a novelty that excites the programming community.
