Robert Maudsley: decades underground in a glass cage
Original: 1/3 ¿Conoces el caso de # RobertMaudsley ? El recluso que pasó décadas en una "jaula de cristal" subterránea en el Reino
Discussion is focused on Robert Maudsley, a British prisoner said to have spent decades confined in a specially built underground glass cell in the UK. Posts recount his case as an extreme story of crime, trauma and the prison system, and claim his cell inspired the aesthetic of 'The Silence of the Lambs'. Maudsley is one of Britain's longest-serving prisoners kept in solitary special conditions.
Why now: The striking true-crime story and its supposed link to 'The Silence of the Lambs' is circulating again on social media.
