Manhunt Underway for Killer Who Escaped Tennessee Prison
Original: Manhunt for escapee — fears killer will murder again — how he slipped through Tennessee prison fence
A convicted murderer has escaped from a Tennessee prison by slipping through a perimeter fence, prompting a large-scale manhunt. Authorities and commentators warn the fugitive may kill again given his violent history, and questions are being raised about how he managed to breach the facility's security so easily. The escape has drawn widespread attention, with heavy focus on both the search effort and the apparent lapses in prison fencing and supervision that allowed him to get out.
Why now: An escaped convicted murderer is at large and the public fears he could strike again, raising urgent questions about prison security failures.
