Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli qualified fourth on the grid at the Mexican Grand Prix, but admitted his performance was not optimal. The young Italian joked that he would 'pump himself full of melatonin' ahead of the race, which falls on the day before a possible 2026 world championship decision, adding to the tension in Mexico City.

Why now: The Mexican Grand Prix qualifying session is generating attention because of Antonelli's underperformance and its timing ahead of a potential championship-deciding moment.
